In short: membership is free and open to everyone. Choose the type that fits you, then join online in two minutes, or by WhatsApp or phone.
Three types of membership
Primary member
For people who have low vision themselves. Primary members vote in Core Committee elections and can stand for election.
Regular member
For parents, family members, friends and carers of people with low vision.
Associate or Friend of VSI
For professionals and service providers (eye care, rehabilitation, education, technology) and for anyone who supports our work.

- A say in what VSI does, and for Primary members, a vote
How to join
Choose whichever way is easiest for you.
- Online: fill in the registration form. It takes about two minutes.
- On WhatsApp: send "Join" to [WhatsApp number to be added] and a volunteer will register you.
- By phone: call [Help line number to be added] and we will fill in the form with you.
Children under 18 are registered by a parent or guardian.

Every member agrees to our Code of Conduct, which keeps VSI friendly and safe. Our privacy policy explains how we look after your details.
