What you can talk to us about
- what your diagnosis might mean for daily life
- aids, apps and phone settings
- certificates, the UDID card and government schemes
- studies, exams and work
- finding a low vision clinic or rehabilitation centre
- joining VSI, a circle or an event
- or simply how you are feeling: we are happy to listen
We are not doctors and cannot give medical advice, but we can help you prepare questions for your eye doctor.
Ask for a call back
Leave your number and the best time, and a volunteer will call you, usually within two working days.
In an emergency: if your sight changes suddenly, or you have sudden eye pain, flashes or a curtain over your vision, go to an eye hospital straight away. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please call Tele-MANAS on 14416, a free national mental health helpline, at any time.
